Robert Verdi is fashion's "It" boy of the moment, and he's not even a designer, model or muse. Recognized instantly by his clean-shaven, signature sunglasses and irresistible personality, Verdi is taking the nation by storm. Originally from Maplewood, New Jersey, the F.I.T graduate started out as a jewelry designer, but in November of 1994 Verdi made a phone call that changed his life and career forever. After watching a program on a local NYC station that he felt left a lot to be desired, Verdi placed a call to the CEO of the station and voiced his concerns. When asked if he could do better, Verdi took this as a challenge and he quickly got to work making a demo reel. And the rest, as they say, is history. His resume includes co-host of Discovery Channel's Surprise By Design, host of Metro TV's Full Frontal Fashion, guest appearances on The View, Regis and Kelly, The Today Show and most notably co-host of the Style Network's Fashion Police. When Cynthia Rowley was ready to tie the knot, she too turned to Verdi to plan her high-profile wedding to architect Bill Keenan. He has also played a key role in helping Swiss watch company TAG Heuer and luxury jewelry company H. Stern makeover their images and re-launch the brands. Verdi's fashion sense stretches beyond his wardrobe; he has done a little interior decorating for some of Hollywood's favorite personalities: Sandra Bernahard, chef Bobby Flay and Law and Order: SVU's Marishka Hargitay. |
